New Crematorium to Be Built in South Boston - WSET.com - ABC13

South Boston, VA- A Funeral Home in South Boston will build a new crematory on Broad Street.

Powell Funeral Home can begin construction on their 28 by 32 foot building after city council approved their zoning request to change the area from residential to business.

Families will be able to have their loved ones cremated locally instead of the body being shipped out to another area for the cremation process.

Three other local funeral homes support the decision.
