Forest, VA- A lot of Bedford County residents still have brush and debris to pick up after the strong wind storms, and county supervisors are offering services to help.
They have up added brush dumpsters at nine of the county collection centers. Residents can dump tree limbs, brush and other storm related debris. County supervisors will also pay for the cost of hauling the brush to the county landfill. It will be a huge saving for residents.
"Normally our citizens would have to haul the materials to the landfill themselves of which they would only be allowed a thousand pounds for free. For the month of July they can use our nine collections centers for free," said Sheldon Cash, director of Public Works in Bedford County.
Residents can also drop off brush at the county landfill for free until the end of July.
