Danville, VA - Some people in Danville are going all out to help an 11-month-old with a rare genetic disease.

Madelyn Davis has Krabbe disease, which affects the brain and nervous system. Only one in 100,000 children is born with it.

There are a few events coming up to raise money for her rising medical bills.

At Central Boulevard Church of God, they are busy setting up for a Christian concert fundraiser. They hope to raise enough money to help pay for the trips to Pittsburgh for treatments.

"Whatever their desires or whatever it is that God puts here, I hope they get, that's what I hope, gonna make me cry," said event coordinator Trina McLaughlin.

Saturday at 11 a.m. a group called the "Hope Riders" are having a Poker Run for Maddie. It starts at the Harley Davidson on Thunder Road.
