Lynchburg, VA - While some may be superstitous during Friday the 13th, others sported their spots for a chance at free food.
Residents in Lynchburg dressed up on Friday for Cow Appreciation Day at Chick-fil-a.
Chick-fil-a is still giving away free food to those who come dressed as a cow until closing time Friday. If you wear a partial costume, you get a free sandwich, but if you are dressed as a cow from head to toe you get a free meal.
Customers in our area say sporting the spots and horns wasn't embarrassing at all.
"I found out on Facebook and I was like 'Sweet! Awesome! I love Chick-fil-a; dress like a cow, not a big deal, get free food," said Allyssa Ellison.
"You know it's fairly normal for me, if you know me, I like to dress up," said Sandy King.
As part of Cow Appreciation day, other prizes are offered on the company's website if you enter a photo of yourself all dressed up.
