Hurt, VA- As of 4 p.m. Saturday afternoon firefighters are still battling a blaze that destroyed the Central Virginia Family Physicians Clinic.
Firefighters were on the scene by 1:20. Crews from Hurt, Gretna and Altavista responded.
Two people were in the building when the fire started- a doctor and janitor who work there. The only injuries reported so far have been six firefighters with heat exhaustion. They were not taken to the hospital.
The building is considered a total loss. Officials believe the fire started in the attic, but are still investigating the cause.
The Pittsylvania County Sheriff's Office says Pocket Road in the Town of Hurt will be closed to through traffic for the next five hours.
