Botetourt Co., VA- State Police are investigating an accident that happened this afternoon on Route 779 in Botetourt County.
Police say 32-year-old Alysia Eaves of Christiansburg veered off the road and struck a tree.
She and her passenger, 35-year-old Jenny Carter of Charlottesville were both wearing seatbelts.
Eaves had to be cut out of the car and was airlifted to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
Carter was also taken to the hospital.
Eaves has been charged with failure to maintain proper control of a vehicle, and not having a valid operators license.
