Danville, VA – Democratic candidate for Congress John Douglass made a campaign stop in Danville Monday to roll out his five-point plan to help Virginia families.
These points include supporting parents and students, bringing job creators and seekers together, protecting retirees and veterans, keeping communities safe and honoring America's founders.
A crowd gathered to watch Douglass speak and explain those five points.
Douglass says that these will help the everyday Virginia family with their future.
He also spoke about the biggest issue facing the Southside and much of the country: unemployment.
"It takes leadership. Focusing, having goals, knowing what we want to do, making sure that the educational support of that is there. We have to create jobs. And we have to bring industry here. And in order to do that we've got to invest in education," said Douglass.
" said Douglass.
Douglass now calls upon Robert Hurt to challenge him to five joint conversations.
