UVA Plans to Offer Free Online Classes


Charlottesville, VA - About a month after making some negative headlines for its president's controversy, University of Virginia is making a big announcement that will help a lot of people.

The University plans to offer free online classes to the masses.

Online platform courses says UVA is among 12 institutions that plan to offer online courses for free under its Internet-based learning system.

President Teresa Sullivan says the online classes will expand the school's role in global education.

Sullivan was ousted from the job last month and later reinstated by the Board of Visitors.
