Lynchburg Man Found Guilty of First Degree Murder

Lynchburg, VA – It took just one hour for a Lynchburg jury to decide on a verdict. They found Raheem Johnson, 19, guilty on all counts including first degree murder.

Johnson and Dennis Watts are accused of bursting into the Mill Woods Apartments in April of last year and shooting Timothy Irving. Johnson was 17 years old at the time.

The jury also convicted Johnson of burglary, attempted robbery and using a firearm in the commission of a felony.

Johnson faces more than two life sentences for his crimes.

A judge will decide his fate at a sentencing hearing in September.
