Danville, VA - A Danville man was taken to the hospital after being struck by a train.
Police were called to the area of Wooding and Baltimore Avenues shortly before 10 p.m. Tuesday night.
When they got there, they found Michael Adkins, 39, near the railroad tracks behind the former Ballou Park Theatre.
He was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Adkins is now charged with trespassing on railroad property and being drunk in public.
