Lynchburg, VA- Two organizations are launching a new academy that could help area high schoolers better compete in the job market.
The Central Virginia Community College and the Region 2000 Technology Council are working on this. Together, they are launching a Career and Technical STEM Academy.
High school students will be able to study courses in healthcare, mechanical and electrical engineering disciplines. The students will use portions of the AREVA Technical Training Center for studying. They can also earn college credit. All five area schools are participating.
