Colorado authorities are now saying that the death toll is at 12 from the shooting. They say the suspect is 24-year-old James Holmes, who is in custody. Stay tuned to ABC 13 for further updates.

An update on that breaking news out of Colorado.
The police chief in Aurora now says 14 people are dead after a mass shooting at a theater in the Denver suburb.
There are reports that at least 50 people are hurt.
ABC News is reporting police have arrested a man in his 20's.
There is no information on a motive or if he was acting alone.
The movie-goers were there to see the new Batman film "Dark Knight Rises."
There are also reports some sort of explosive device went off in the theater at one point.
