Truck Wreck Delays Traffic, Spills Concrete

Lynchburg, VA - A wreck Monday delayed traffic near Kemper Street in Lynchburg Monday afternoon.

Police say a concrete truck turned on its side after the driver took the Kemper Street exit ramp coming off of 29 South too quickly.

Police say the driver has minor injuries and has been transported to the hospital.

Both the on and off ramps for 29 North and South for Kemper Street were blocked for several hours. Police, fire officials and tow trucks were on one ramp working to turn the concrete truck upright on the other.

Some concrete did leak out of the truck.

Charges for the driver are pending.
