Last Wednesday (July 18) marked my one year anniversary at ABC 13. I can't believe how quickly it has come and gone. I have learned so much and have met some amazing people.
Since I grew up in Texas, this has been the first time that I have lived in this region. From day one, I was welcomed by everyone I met -- from people I work with, to friends, to just people who say hi at the store.
I have discovered some great things about Danville -- but hands down, it's biggest asset is it's people. You can't drive down the street without someone waving at you. When I had no where to go for Thanksgiving, I had offers left and right. And when I needed someone to talk to, everyone wanted to listen.
I wasn't sure what to expect when I moved in, but I couldn't have predicted the relationships that I have made. I have amazing friends here. While a lot of them have come and gone, they have left shinning memories of this great little city. I couldn't be more thankful for all of the friends I have made here. So, I wanted to dedicate this blog to all of them.
I also want to thank everyone who has been supportive of me through this year of work. I have some amazing co-workers who want nothing but the best for me. I feel that I have come a long way at WSET and know that I will keep improving because of all of my supporters. I don't want to say names, but for everyone who has pushed me and helped me along the way, you know who you are. Thank you to everyone who has helped me along this great adventure.
