Lynchburg - Hillcats pitcher Gus Schlosser won his Carolina League-leading 11th game Monday night, shutting out the Potomac Nationals 5-0 at Calvin Falwell Field.
Schlosser stole the show in this one, striking out six and allowing just five hits. The 6-4 righthander throws his first career complete game shutout. He's had Potomac's number, throwing eight shutout innings last week against the Nats, another nine Monday night, 17 scoreless in a row for Schlosser.
Braeden Schlehuber was one of four Hillcats with two hits, Lynchburg's big inning was the third when the 'Cats struck for three runs. But with Schlosser mowing down Nats, all Lynchburg would have needed was one. They got five and the 5-0 win. The same teams play the next three nights in Lynchburg.
