Danville, VA - Children in Danville on Friday got to enjoy some summer water fun while learning about Science.
Boys and girls aged four to seven attended a "Science in the Water" summer camp at the Danville Science Center.
Some activities included water balloon musical chairs, and how sponges can absorb large amounts of water.
They had a chance to not only have fun but also to learn about how water is used in our day to day lives.
"We've been studying things that live in the water that use water to live, It's a source of life for animal's human's plants and then also they have been seeing how water can help us travel, we can travel on boats, we can use bridges," said Nikki Harris, Danville Science Center Education & Guest Services.
All the activities have been hands on, and to a child something as simple as water can be a whole world of fun!
