Patrick County, VA- State Police are investigating a fatal crash in Patrick County yesterday afternoon that killed a skateboarder.
The accident happened around 12:30 on Route 614, three miles south of Route 638.
Police say 26-year-old Maxime Benoit of Quebec, Canada was riding a skateboard southbound on Route 614.
Police say he traveled head on into the path of a Ford pickup traveling northbound, driven by 66-year-old Galen Huff of Floyd.
Benoit was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, and was pronounced dead at the scene.
