Danville VA- A Minister of Music, a Church Minister, and now a Danville Business owner, Pete Hairston is letting his little light shine.
"Bro Pete" is a nickname he picked up while driving an Ice Cream truck in Burlington North Carolina a decade ago, now it's the name of his Ice Cream and sandwich shop.
As a Minister of music for many denominations he says God showed him how to bring people together instead of separating them.
He now hope's that his restaurant will do exactly the same, a place where you can feel at home, relax, eat and have good clean fun.
Hairston's self-proclaimed "Danville's Best Hot Dog" is made with his own homemade chili and slaw from a special secret recipe that he's not ready to share, but if he keeps saying it's the best, people will start believing it, which will provoke them to come out and try it.
His motto is "With any business you want to make money, but the key to it is service and blessing people and the money will take care of itself".
"It's a great opportunity to grow, starting here was just a blessing in itself, didn't plan for it I just knew it was going to happen because of a person who lives by faith" said Pete Hairston, Minister and Business Owner.
He says that each morning when he wakes up he makes a choice to feel good, and that is the key to remaining positive.
Bro Pete's restaurant is located in the same strip mall as his Church "New Beginners Praise and Worship Center at 620 Westover Drive.
