Private College Week Kicks Off

Lynchburg, VA - It's a chance to apply to college and save a little cash.

Private college week starts Monday and runs through Friday.Students who visit three schools will have their application fee waived. About 25 schools across the state are participating.

Lisa Davies, assistant director of admissions at Randolph College,says they have tours and information sessions for parents and prospective students.

"For us, we get to be a college students long after we graduate so we get to hang out with college kids and see their bright faces. We're all anxiously anticipating their arrival in August so Virginia Private College Week is a great way to get their feet wet," said Davies.

You can register online for private college week or just show up for a tour. Randolph College officials say they're open from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. for anyone who's interested.
