Heritage Pioneers Football Friday Preview

Lynchburg -  It's still July, but football practice kicked off Monday at high schools across the region.

Our previews begin with the Heritage Pioneers and new head coach Brad Bradley.  Bradley comes in after guiding Amelia County to the state semifinals last year, previously coaching at Patrick Henry and William Campbell.
He takes over a Heritage program that went 6-and-5 last year and made the playoffs. Senior quarterback Jevontae Parrish is back to guide the Pioneers offense.  Bradley says this team has been hard-working in the off-season.  He feels the Pioneers will be athletic, not as big as many other teams, but with good speed.

Brad Bradley, FIRST-YEAR HERITAGE COACH, said "What I always like to see our football teams be is number one hard working, number two we fly around, and number three we never give up, we're relentless.  We want to be relentless, you know, 48 minutes a game, four quarters a game, give 120 percent every single time."

Jevontae Parrish, SENIOR QUARTERBACK/CORNERBACK, said "I've been throwing a lot, I've been throwing way more this off-season.  7-on-7's have helped a lot, that's most of all what I've been doing and getting my shoulder stronger, my arm stronger."
