Brookville Bees Football Friday Preview

The Brookville Bees are the Division three defending state champs after finishing off a 14-0 2011 season.

Coach Jeff Woody says now his team has a target on their back.

Victor Montalbano, Korren Kirven, Michael Carwile and Tyler Pitts are all gone from a defense that allowed just 11.6 points a game but the Bees have talent in reserve.

They bring 6 back on offense and 7 on defense. Most notably - QB Kendall BeCraft returns for his 4th and final year as the starter. He needs 29 touchdowns to reach 100 for his career.

Coach Jeff Woody's offense will debut a new formation this season and he regularly keeps his best five playmakers on the field as much as possible.

Defensively they will rely more on speed this year as compared to year's past when they had strength and power on the line. "You can't replace guys like Montalbano and Kirven," Woody said.

The Bees will scrimmage Gretna August 10th and then open the season at Martinsville in week one.
