Roanoke is also hosting the Virginia Mountain Peach Festival this weekend. Come out for tasty peach desserts, local craft vendors and live music. There will also be kid games and a petting zoo! The festival will run August 2-4 at Elmwood Park. That's 10 am..-7 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday.
Speaking of peaches - Peaks of Otter Winery is also bringing out its fruit. This weekend you can sample peaches, nectarines and apples they use to make some of its wine. Of course there will also be wine tasting. You can even bring a picnic out there and go say hi to their farm animals. That's Friday through Sunday for the next couple of weekends.
