Lynchburg - Hillcats righthander Gus Schlosser has been honored as the Carolina League's Pitcher of the Week for the period ending this past Sunday.
Schlosser, tied for the league lead with 11 wins, made two starts this past week, allowing no runs, walking one and striking out 15. His current scoreless streak sits at 28-and-a-third innings, just four innings shy of Sean Burnett's all-time Hillcats record. The Hillcats open a short three-game homestand against Frederick Tuesday night at 7:05.
