Lynchburg - Michael Mosby drove in five runs and Frederick snapped the Hillcats' two-game winning streak, beating Lynchburg 9-4 at Calvin Falwell Field Tuesday night.
The Hillcats, down 3-0 after a Mosby 3-run triple in the fourth, rallied in the bottom of the frame, Dan Brewer's blooper to right gets by Steve Bumbry, allowing Nick Ahmed to score all the way from first for the first of two Lynchburg runs in the inning.
The Hillcats tied it in the fifth, Matt Weaver laid down a pretty bunt and raced to first, causing a bad throw, Bobby Stevens who had doubled scored to tie the game at three.
Mosby struck again in the sixth, this time lining a two-out, two-run double to break the tie, Travis Adair able to jar the ball loose at the plate as the Keys regained the lead 5-3.
Garabez Rosa followed with an rbi double, Frederick added three in the eighth and beats the Hillcats 9-4 in the opener of a three-game series in Lynchburg. Game Two is Wednesday night at 7:05 at Calvin Falwell Field.
