Blacksburg, VA - Local, state and federal officers are investigating after an explosive device detonated overnight on a Blacksburg street.
Officers responded to the scene in the 400 block of Harrell Street about 2:50 a.m. after a neighbor reported hearing an explosion. Authorities found an improvised explosive device had detonated near several parked vehicles. One of the vehicles had significant damage.
Blacksburg Police are leading this investigation. They are receiving assistance from State Police, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms and the FBI.
