Sen. Webb Co-Sponsoring Bill to Raise Minimum Wage
Washington, DC - Senator Jim Webb is making a push to raise the minimum wage.
He co-sponsored the Fair Minimum Wage Act Of 2012 Monday. The legislation would raise the federal minimum wage from $7.25 to $9.80 per hour over two years. In May 2007, a bill was signed into law raising the federal minimum wage from $5.15 to $7.25 over a two year period. That was the first increase in ten years.
