Lynchburg, VA - Plans are in the works to put the Jubal Early Monument back up and hopefully keep it there.
It's been close to a year since the monument was knocked down by a drunk driver. It was the second time in a decade the statue was hit by a car.
Crews have moved the fallen monument from the site so they can dig up the old concrete foundation.
Officials say they'll pour a new foundation about 20 feet back and will also put in some protective posts.
