Roanoke, VA - Star Country fans got to hear a familiar voice for the first time in a long time Wednesday morning.
D.J. Robynn Jaymes returned to the show after a 10 month battle with severe acute pancreatitis.
Jaymes said she has had several surgeries and even spent time in ICU during her recovery. But about 3 1/2 weeks ago she had surgery to remove a cyst on her pancreas and has felt better every day since.
Jaymes will be back on a part-time basis for several months. She said she is humbled by the support she's received from her fans and radio family.
Jaymes is on the air with Brett Sharp 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. each weekday morning. They have been on the air together 6 years now.
