Suspect in Custody After Bomb Scare

Explosive Device Damages Vehicle in Blacksburg
Blacksburg, VA - A suspect is in custody after a bomb scare in a Blacksburg neighborhood.
Derick Wilson, 23, of Roanoke has been charged with manufacture, possession and use of fire bombs.
Wilson has also been linked to bomb making materials that were found at a home in the 400 Block of Bonhill Drive Wednesday evening.
Officers were called to the 400 block of Harrell Street around 2:50 a.m. Wednesday for an explosion, a couple of blocks from the Virginia Tech campus.
When they arrived, they found an SUV with significant damage from a pipe bomb.
Officials say there were other vehicles parked nearby.
A spokesman from the ATF says it appears the SUV was the target of the bomb.
