Bedford, VA - The Bedford Museum is highlighting what it calls an important part of its history: moonshining.
From September 7 through December, the museum will show how thriving the industry was, particularly in the mountain areas where undergrowth provided natural concealment.
The display will have a still on the first floor of the museum as well as court records, newspaper stories and artifacts.
During the next several weeks, the museum will be collecting information on the moonshine industry.
Museum leaders are asking people with artifacts or knowledge of the moonshine industry to call Jennifer Thomson at 540-586-4520 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
