Wesley Clark Campaigns in Roanoke for the President
Roanoke, Va. - President Obama has enlisted the help of retired four star general Wesley Clark to try to get the word out about his record on military affairs.
General Clark has been in the Roanoke Valley as part of the kickoff for a new Obama theme called "Veterans Star Validators". Clark joins other high-ranking U.S. military veterans who are endorsing the president.
"He's the best president in my lifetime for taking care of men and women in uniform and for looking after the veterans. I'm not talking about rhetoric, I'm talking about putting money and programs in place... he's done the best," said Clark.
In 2004, Clark himself ran for president. Since then, he has been working in the energy industry from his Little Rock, Arkansas home.
