Danville - Today's Football Friday Preview takes us to Danville for a visit with the G.W. Eagles.
Coach Bobby Martin is entering his first year as GW's head coach after serving as an assistant coach since 1998. Coming off a 6-and-5 season, the players want to get back on top of the Western Valley District. But Coach Martin is focusing on hard work and selflessness and says the rest will take care of itself.
Bobby Martin, GW Head Coach, said "Word hard and be selfless. I have seen great things happen, that's when teams come together. When you get self out of the way teams, businesses, football teams whatever it is. When they get self out of the way and work hard, that's when they come together and great things happen."
B.J. Martin, Senior Running Back/Linebacker, said "Last year we had a lot of goofing around on the sidelines and stuff during practice. This year is work hard or get out."
