Lynchburg Junior All-Stars Honored for Great Season

Lynchburg - The Lynchburg Jefferson 13-14 Junior All-Star Team got together Saturday evening for a post-season cookout celebration.  Lynchburg Jefferson advanced all the way to the state championship game last week in Bristol before losing in the final.  It was the longest run at state for the Lynchburg team in eight years.

Sam Ailsworth, SECOND BASEMAN/PITCHER, said "Well we all got along real well and we all understood the game and we knew what was going on and how to help each other out and how to help ourselves out."

Spencer Jones, FIRST BASEMAN/PITCHER/CATCHER, said "I think it makes me better, it makes me live up a little more to playing when I need to and when we go to states again.  Hopefully I'll know what to go through again, I'll know the situations to be in."
