Lynchburg Native Publishes Historical Fiction Novel

Lynchburg, VA - A Lynchburg native has come back to town to show off her new book.Author Ruth Watson now lives in Atlanta. but she's traveling around the country promoting her work.

Her book is called Blackberry Days of Summer and it was just released in June.She says she worked on her 280-page book every day for a year.

The book is a historical fiction novel based in parts of the South. Watson was inspired to write the book years ago, after listening to her grandmother tell old tales.

"It's a murder mystery. It's when three womens' lives converge, a murder takes place and the book takes place in Jefferson County, Virginia," said Watson.

Watson says you can find her book at Barnes and Noble, Wal-Mart and some Target stores.
