Site for New Hampton Inn
Roanoke, VA - The City of Roanoke has set a public hearing about plans for a new hotel in downtown.
Officials say a three-story Hampton Inn will be built on top of the Church Avenue parking garage.
A developer plans to pay the city $100,000 for the bottom floor of the garage to be used as a lobby plus an additional $800,000 for the rights to build three stories on top of the city owned garage.
A public hearing is set for August 20 at the 7 p.m. city council meeting.
