Lynchburg, VA - Heritage Elementary School is planning a way to remember a boy who was hit and killed on Timberlake Road last week.
The 9-year-old was in critical condition at UVA Medical Center after Friday's accident. He passed away Monday.
Heritage Elementary officials say they are planning to plant a tree in his memory. It will be planted near a new playground that they are putting in this school year.
Lynchburg police have not released the boy's name.
