Danville, VA - Danville is adding a little adventure to Dan Daniel Park.
Parks and Recreation has put up a 400 foot zipline there.
It was installed just a week ago but will not be ready for the public until inspections are done next month.
They added it as a high element to their low ropes course. Plus, it can be used as a dual zipline allowing up to two people to go at once.
Parks and Recreation say this is something that Danville residents will really enjoy.
"We don't like to see people traveling all out of town. We want people to stay here. So it's an opportunity for people to really enjoy and stop saying there is nothing to do here," said Jason Bookheimer, director with Community Recreation for Parks and Recreation.
For now, it will be used as part of a team building package, but if they see a need, there is a possibility of making it a regular attraction.
