Danville, VA - George Allen visited Danville's Republican headquarters opening Thursday. He met with folks from around the city about the need for Virginia voters to go Republican.
Allen spent the day in the Southside from Franklin County to Danville. We asked him about the biggest issue facing our area: job creation. He says he wants to make sure our tax laws are more competitive. Allen says that he wants to reform taxes to reduce the burden on small businesses.
"There are a variety of things that should be done with our economic, energy, and regulatory policies to make America a much better place for people to live and learn and work and to raise our families," said Allen.
Democrat Ward Armstrong responded to Allen's visit by saying that we don't need Allen's "fiscal recklessness and divisive partisanship."
