Roanoke, VA - Roanoke police have released the name of the bicyclist hit by a car Thursday night.
23-year-old Michael Douglas Wertz of Salem was taken to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
No word on his condition.
Police say just before 9 p.m., Wertz was on Melrose Avenue when he was hit by a car.
The driver did stop.
No charges have been filed at this time.
Roanoke, VA - Roanoke Police officers are investigating an adult male cyclist struck by a vehicle.
Investigators say the accident happened just before 9:00 p.m. Thursday on the 4900 block of Melrose Avenue. Police say the cyclist was going east driving on Melrose was struck by a vehicle going east on Melrose. The cyclist was taken to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. No word on his condition.
No charges have been filed.
