Danville, VA - Danville is one step closer to a new downtown. That's because they've awarded the bid for the River District streetscape project to Virginia Carolina Paving of South Boston.

They submitted the lowest bid of $2.1 million. Virginia Carolina Paving will start work at the beginning of next month. But you may see workers before that because Danville Utilities is already upgrading gas and water services.
