Lynchburg - The Hillcats must have been happy to return home. Back in Lynchburg after a week on the road, the 'Cats snapped a four-game losing skid by beating Carolina 6-3.
Ryan Weber pitched five shutout innings for Lynchburg, allowing just three hits and striking out six.
Edward Salcedo led Lynchburg at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two rbi, Salcedo staked the Hillcats to a 2-0 lead in the second inning with his career-high 13th homer of the season.
The Hillcats are just a half-game out of first in the Northern Division, trailing co-leaders Frederick and Wilmington.
