Pittsylvania Co., VA- State Police are investigating a fatal crash that happened on August 6th in Pittsylvania County. A driver injured in the accident has died.
The crash happened on Route 614 about half a mile south of Route 841. Police say 31-year-old Demetrius Thomas of Axton was driving a motorcycle northbound on Route 614.
He ran off the left side of the road into a ditch, and then hit a tree.
He was flown to Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, where he died yesterday.
Thomas was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
