Richmond, VA - Governor McDonnell is bringing together state and national experts, teachers and policymakers to discuss education reforms in Richmond. The education summit that begins Wednesday will feature speeches from former U.S. Secretary of Education Margaret Spellings and U.S. Department of Education Deputy Secretary Tony Miller.
Officials say the gathering will discuss strategies for successful classrooms, expand school choice, enhance teacher quality and continue to focus on workforce development. The summit runs through Friday.
