Martinsville - Former Martinsville and Maryland basketball standout Jeff Adkins has been hired as the new head coach at his alma mater, Martinsville High School.
Adkins has been head coach at Carlisle School in Martinsville the past two decades. Now he returns to Martinsville High School, where he helped lead the Bulldogs to a pair of state titles as a player in the early 80's. Adkins will be just the fifth Martinsville boys coach in the past 56 years.
