Lynchburg - It's Week 3 for Liberty Flames preseason camp. Practices have been closed, but fans can get their first look at the team Saturday night at 7 at Flames Fan Fest. The Flames will scrimmage an hour, then meet & greet fans. Liberty opens the season at Wake Forest September 1st.
Turner Gill, LIBERTY FLAMES HEAD COACH, said "It helps us for our guys preparing themselves in the summer. You know they've gotta come out ready to go, you can't just come and walk out, no matter who you play, but of course when you're playing a BCS type of opponent, that helps the matter from a coach standpoint. It is what it is, they're a very, very good football team and we've got to play very extremely well to have a chance to beat 'em."
