Amherst Co., VA – A clerk at the Apple Market on Route 29 in Amherst County has been arrested after the sheriff's office says he hit two customers.
Michael Mulhern, 48, faces malicious wounding charges.
The Amherst County Sheriff's Office says shortly before 6 p.m. Wednesday Mulhern got angry at a customer and went outside, hitting him in the head.
They say another customer was leaving the store, and Mulhern tackled him and hit him repeatedly in the face. Then authorities say he pushed that customer's wife and cursed her.
