Teens Charged in Danville Burglary


Danville, VA - Two teens are behind bars Friday in connection with a burglary. Danville police say Malcolm Xzendria Javal Gregory and a 16-year-old broke into the Zinc Total Salon Thursday night.

Police say at about 10:30 pm, an officer noticed one of the glass doors at the salon was broken.

The owner reported stolen property and officers stopped the two teens near the Danville Science Center. Police say the teens had the stolen items from the business with them.

Gregory and the 16-year-old teen, whose name is being withheld because he's a minor, have been charged with breaking and entering, petit larceny and malicious damage.

Police also served 19 year-old Gregory with an outstanding warrant for unauthorized use. He is currently being held in the Danville City Jail with a $25,000 secured bond. The 16-year-old is currently being held at the W.W. Moore, Jr. Detention facility.
