Roanoke - In today's Football Friday Preview, we head to Roanoke and check in with the Patrick Henry Patriots.
P-H, coming off one of its best seasons in recent years, is working on getting better under the direction of second-year coach Alan Fiddler. This year, the Patriots hope to improve last year's 7-3 record with their first playoff appearance in 12 years, they open Friday at Hidden Valley.
P-H's field general is returning starter David Prince, who's committed to Virginia Tech and leads a team built for speed.
Alan Fiddler/Patrick Henry Head Coach, said "We're the same this year. We're a very fast football team; probably faster than last year's team. A lot of talented athletes; a lot of talented, skilled kids. Even on defense we are fast so that's gotta be what we try to take advantage of."
Antwaun Harried/Patrick Henry Running Back, said "Last year's team we had more size but this year's team has more speed and we know the plays; we have them down now so this year we should look better on the field."
Anthony Robinson/Patriots Defensive End/Tackle, said "A lot faster, stronger, we've been working hard in the weight room. We're just ready to go and we hit hard."
