Lynchburg - After dropping three of four at first-place Wilmington, the Hillcats began the final homestand of the regular season Monday night. The Winston-Salem Dash beats Lynchburg 7-2 in the opener of their four-game series.
It was a solid night for 'Cats starter Ryan Harper...UNTIL the 6th. The Dash sent seven batters to the plate and scored four runs. Dan Black - one of the best hitters in the league - ripped a double to the wall to make it 2-1. It didn't stop there. Michael Early then crushed a pitch to center. Mycal Jones had a beat on it but couldn't make the catch. Another run scored on Early's triple and the Dash went on to win game one 7-2.
