Henry Co., VA - Henry County has a new administrator following the death of Benny Summerlin.
Deputy County Administrator Tim Hall was appointed to the position Tuesday. He'll also be the general manager of the Public Service Authority.
Summerlin passed away last week after announcing in February that he was battling colon cancer.
Hall joined Henry County in December 1998 to serve as the Public Information Officer for Henry County and the PSA. In 2002, he was promoted to Deputy County Administrator and Assistant General Manager of the PSA.
Hall is a 1977 graduate of Martinsville High School and a 1981 graduate of James Madison University with a Bachelor of Science degree in communications. He received his MBA from Averett University in 2007.
Before joining Henry County and the PSA, Hall worked as a journalist, public school teacher and public relations director for Henry County Public Schools.
